Only problems I have: 1) Blade is sorta thin, not the best for batoning wood, but it still works fine 2) Soft metal blade. I understand the need for a knife that can take repeated blows and not crack or chip, but this metal doesn’t have enough rigidity to hold something like a razors edge. 3) Polypropylene checkers cause massive blisters after long periods of use. Cold Steel Panga machete. 1055 spring steel. This machete is easy to sharpen, but dulls quickly. The blade, however, is nearly indestructible. This machete is cheaper than most of the other cold steel machetes. You can find it for less than 10 dollars.
