This was a previous reviewed knife and now it’s proven in the woods. What a great value the CS 12″ Machete Bowie offers. Like I said in previous review of this knife, it’s an very affordable survival and defensive option that offers great reach, toughness, good sheath, lightweight, and good swing (as demonstrated here and in another video). As it comes from CS, again, it’s edge just sucks. It needs a full re-grind, like on mine, to really bring out the inherent cutting preformance. It’s a great hacker, cutter, and slicer and a good-enough wood splitter (its thinness precludes any wedge shaped profile). I was impressed by the efficacy of this blade in my knife clinic and it remains a deadly, nimble fighting knife as well. SAFETY NOTE: These videos will show imperative common sense safety measures to keep YOU safe from your own blades (and falling timber). Accidentally cutting YOURSELF is the biggest danger you will face in the woods.
